This handcrafted 20" × 30" portrait of Our Lady Star of the Sea is created from individually cut and shaped pieces of wood, arranged to bring depth, movement, and texture to the image of Mary and the Christ Child.
The natural grain and color of the wood remain a major part of the design, while carefully applied dyes are used selectively in the water, mantle, and clouds to add contrast and visual depth without covering the character of the wood beneath.
Each piece is shaped, fitted, and finished by hand, making every portrait slightly unique. The finished artwork is framed and comes ready to hang with an integrated French cleat mounting system.
Details: 20" × 30" • Handcrafted intarsia • Natural wood with selectively dyed elements • Framed • French cleat included
